Medical Alert Identification for Your Child
It is very important that your child wears a medical alert bracelet or necklace that has clear information about their medical condition, for example “diabetes” or “egg allergy.” You do not need to include your child’s name, phone number or any other personal information on the ID.
Make sure your child wears the medical alert. Get one that your child is willing to wear. There are many different styles at different prices. If your child is likely to lose it, you may want to get a less expensive one or buy more than one. Some children or teens don’t want to wear one and be “different” than their peers. Have them wear a medical alert necklace under their clothing.
An infant or toddler should not wear a necklace because it is a choking hazard. Have your infant or toddler wear their bracelet or medical alert ID on their shoe.
Put a medical alert on your child’s car seat or seat belt in case of a car accident.

Does my phone or watch have a medical alert?
Medical ID helps first responders access your critical medical information from the Lock screen, without needing your passcode. They can see information like allergies and medical conditions as well as who to contact in case of an emergency. This should not take the place of a medical alert ID worn on the wrist or neck.
