Torticollis Exercises: Stomach Activities: Left
These instructions are for caregivers of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) patients with torticollis to stretch and strengthen their neck.

Patient instructions:
Reaching on stomach

Place your child on their stomach.

Place a toy above child's head to encourage them to push up onto elbows or straight arms.

Encourage your child to reach for the toy with either hand but focus on encouraging them to reach to the left.

This will promote turning their head to the left and shifting their weight and head to the right.

Turning on stomach

Place your child on their stomach.
-
Position the toy to either side at hip level, focus more to the left.

Your child will move their hands to pivot or turn on their stomach to reach for the toy.
