Pegfilgrastim Learning Module
Pegfilgrastim is a neutrophil growth factor given as a subcutaneous injection 24-48 hours following completion of chemotherapy. This medication can shorten periods of low white blood cells in pediatric oncology patients. Families can learn to give this medication to their child after appropriate education and demonstration with a nurse.
