VOXZOGO (vosoritide)

VOXZOGO® is an FDA approved medicine for children with achondroplasia who have open growth plates. The medicine has been shown to increase height. VOXZOGO works to increase the signals the body sends to grow bones. The medicine is given as a daily injection (shot). Learn more about VOXZOGO:

Your healthcare team will help you decide if VOXZOGO is right for your child. If your child is prescribed VOXZOGO they will follow-up at the Center for Bone Health every three months for the first year. After that, appointments can be spaced to every 6 months. Your child's bone age will be measured each year. This is done by taking an x-ray of their hand. Treatment with VOXZOGO will continue until their growth plates close or you choose to stop the medicine.

Encourage your child to eat a meal and drink 8-10 ounces within 1 hour before the daily injection to reduce dizziness and nausea. Contact your healthcare provider with any questions or concerns about the medicine.
